Bahram Sarmast was born in 1969 in Bonab. He has a master's degree in Political Sciences.

He was the Governer General of Qom province in 12'th Governmanet. He also has had different responsibilites such as Caretaker of Political Deputy of Interior Minister, Director of Political office in Theran and East Azarbaijan Provincial Governments and Cultural Deputy of Aras free zone organization.

He appointed as East Azarbaijan Governor General by 14'th government in October 2024.
